👐🏼🧹 Join us at the minga this Saturday 13th, 12pm-4pm. We host mingas every month to be in community with new and old neighbors, while sustaining and repairing our center together. 🍽️ At the minga, come eat + support our neighbors from the block, Doña Elvira and her daughter Veronica. They'll be out front vending Mexican foods from their business . They'll donate a bit of their profits to Centro too.

🍄🌱Summer Youth Intensives are returning this summer under a new name- SPORES! Sign up to attend Registration day on Saturday June 6th from 12pm to 3pm and meet the educators, learn about each class offering, and sign up for these free classes. For youth Ages 11 to 19 years old. For those under 18yo: a responsible adult (18+) needs to come along. Classes starts on JULY 6th. Read more at the QR code on the flyer or link in bio. SPORES! is an umbrella of 4 creative and skills based workshops for teens where we hope to experience together the beauty of collective life, pass down memories of the territory we share, and invite youth to co-create a future of solidarity and autonomy. This program was created in 2025 as an intervention to the predatory recruitment that pushes youth into careers of war an incarceration of their own communities.

🍄🌱Por segundo año consecutivo, este verano ofreceremos clases intensivas gratuitas para jóvenes de edades 11 a 19 años, bajo el programa SPORES! Ven al día de Registración el sábado 6 de junio de 12 a 3pm , conoce a les educadores, aprende sobre cada taller, y registrate a las clases. Si les jóvenes son menores de 18 años, un adulte (18+) debe llenar el formulario de su parte y venir al día de registración junto al estudiante. Las clases empiezan el 6 de JULIO. El programa SPORES! Es una serie de 4 talleres creativos para adolescentes enfocados en aprender habilidades y técnicas específicas según el taller, en donde esperamos explorar juntes la belleza de la vida colectiva, transmitir memorias del territorio en el que convivimos, e invitar a les jóvenes a co-crear un futuro solidario y autónomo. Este programa se creó en el 2025 como intervención a el reclutamiento predatorio que encamina a les jóvenes hacia carreras de guerra y de encarcelamiento de sus propias comunidades.

Bring your gently used clothing in clean+good conditions.

All adults sizes (particularly large sizes XL, 2XL, 2XL)

Pants (cotton, for summer, sturdy for work, fun to go out)

🗓Agenda la fecha para la siguiente minga el sábado 16 de mayo al medio día. Organizaremoa nuestra biblioteca y los posters de la pared de la entrada. 📚

Thank you all who came to our last minga. We fixed up the patio shed, planted new seeds and tended our growing sunflowers. 🌻

We host mingas every month to invite new and old neighbors to get to know the center while working together in a project to upkeep our beloved space. 🏠🫀👐🏼

This month, join us on Saturday 4/18 from 11am to 3pm to install a curtain track in the projector area and set up a curtain. We'll be getting up on a ladder, drilling, measuring. No experience necessary. Looking forward to seeing you all! 🪛📏

Gracias a todes quienes llegaron a la minga del mes pasado. Organizamos la bodega del patio, plantamos nuevas semillas, y cuidamos de los girasoles retoños.

Hacemos mingas cada mes para que les vecines de siempre o nuevos visiten el Centro mientras unides cuidemos de nuestro amado centro.

Este mes te invitamos el sábado de 18 de abril de 11 am a 3pm. Instalaremos unas rieles y una cortina para el área de proyección. Nos subiremos en la escalera, usaremos el taladro y la cinta métrica. No hace falta experiencia. Les esperamos!

Domingo 22 de marzo de 11am a 3pm: Plantaremos semillas y limpiaremos nuestro patio, para alistarlo para la temporada de primavera. Tenemos semillas y herramientas. Trae tu energía de manos a la obra y un refrigerio para compartir. Envianos un mensaje para confirmar tu asistencia.
