Join our upcoming minga this Sunday 23rd from 11am to 2pm. 🎨 Help us finish up our assembly banner! Have painting skills? Come over! No much experience? Let's still paint together! We will share the history and meaning of this banner and talk about the ancestors it depicts- community thinkers who guide us with their teachings. For those who don't enjoy painting, we have side minga projects that could use your support too. Masks required and provided. 😷

🌱We host monthly mingas to gather new and old neighbors to care collectively for our community center and learn about our work! All welcome!

Thank you to all who have join us at our monthly mingas since March. We are taking a break from the mingas in July. Save the date for our next month’s minga at Centro Corona on Saturday August 8th 1pm-4pm.

We want to invite you all to still practice minga at these two community gatherings happening on Saturday 18th (flyers in post): Earlier in the day, from 2:30pm-4:30pm, join the Community work day at Malcolm X Community Garden , bring water, loved ones and be ready to do some plantita tending! Then at night at 7pm be ready to party it up at Ñukanchik Llakta Wawakuna’s Bingo Bailable, entrance is free but bring cash to play Bingo, win prizes + eat delicious salchipapa! Funds raised will support Wawakuna’s girl dance collective continue their classes, and they will donate some funds towards Centro as well.

Last, we will be tabling at Crafting Solidarity: A disabled QTBIPOC pride party on 7/26 at Prime Produce (424 w 54th street)! Join the event which promises to be cute

Este MARTES 30 DE JUNIO 8-11pm nos reunimos de nuevo a celebrar el amor al pueblo y nuestros juegos viendo el partido ECUADOR VS MEXICO. Es como la copa de Corona. Entre Ecuayor y Pueblayork compartiremos esperanzas y ansias, comida y comunidad. Y también nos damos tiempo para discutir lo que va pasando en nuestros territorios en sus luchas por la vida, en contra de despojo, abusos, megadesarrollos y desplazo, en nuestras tierras tanto aquí.
Qué pasa con el pueblo en Ecuador, en Mexico, en latinoamerica, en Queens y NY? Como esta eso vinculado a las corporaciones que traen eventos como el mundial, u otros entretenimientos, y a los complejos de entretenimiento que quieren construir en Corona? Como nos sentimos sobre estos hechos y conexiones?
Sostenemos cuidados colectivos para covid y otras enfermedades transmitidas por aire, por lo que pedimos uso de mascarilla en el espacio adentro, y proveeremos mascarillas.

This TUESDAY JUNE 30TH from 8 to 11 we get together again to celebrate the love for our people and our games by watching the ECUADOR vs MEXICO soccer match. It's like the Corona Cup. Between Ecuayork and Pueblayork we'll share hopes and scares, food and community. And we will also take time to discuss what is going on different territories with their struggle for life, against plunder, abuse, megadevelopments and displacements, here and abroad. What's is a happening politically in Ecuador, Mexico, Latin America and NY? How are projects of militarization connected to entertainment complexes and projects in Corona? How do we feel about it?

Masks required and provided, to practice collective care against covid and other airborne infections.

👐🏼🧹 Join us at the minga this Saturday 13th, 12pm-4pm. We host mingas every month to be in community with new and old neighbors, while sustaining and repairing our center together. 🍽️ At the minga, come eat + support our neighbors from the block, Doña Elvira and her daughter Veronica. They'll be out front vending Mexican foods from their business . They'll donate a bit of their profits to Centro too.

🍄🌱Summer Youth Intensives are returning this summer under a new name- SPORES! Sign up to attend Registration day on Saturday June 6th from 12pm to 3pm and meet the educators, learn about each class offering, and sign up for these free classes. For youth Ages 11 to 19 years old. For those under 18yo: a responsible adult (18+) needs to come along. Classes starts on JULY 6th. Read more at the QR code on the flyer or link in bio. SPORES! is an umbrella of 4 creative and skills based workshops for teens where we hope to experience together the beauty of collective life, pass down memories of the territory we share, and invite youth to co-create a future of solidarity and autonomy. This program was created in 2025 as an intervention to the predatory recruitment that pushes youth into careers of war an incarceration of their own communities.

🍄🌱Por segundo año consecutivo, este verano ofreceremos clases intensivas gratuitas para jóvenes de edades 11 a 19 años, bajo el programa SPORES! Ven al día de Registración el sábado 6 de junio de 12 a 3pm , conoce a les educadores, aprende sobre cada taller, y registrate a las clases. Si les jóvenes son menores de 18 años, un adulte (18+) debe llenar el formulario de su parte y venir al día de registración junto al estudiante. Las clases empiezan el 6 de JULIO. El programa SPORES! Es una serie de 4 talleres creativos para adolescentes enfocados en aprender habilidades y técnicas específicas según el taller, en donde esperamos explorar juntes la belleza de la vida colectiva, transmitir memorias del territorio en el que convivimos, e invitar a les jóvenes a co-crear un futuro solidario y autónomo. Este programa se creó en el 2025 como intervención a el reclutamiento predatorio que encamina a les jóvenes hacia carreras de guerra y de encarcelamiento de sus propias comunidades.
