Did you know that self regulation develops between 18 months and three years of age? At that age, young children absorb our emotions and energy and communicate them back to us through behaviors.

Self regulation is key to responsive parenting. Parents behaviors play a critical part in this development in children.

Here are a few tips to help parents maintain healthy emotional state:

🦋Prioritize time for yourself and spend time away from your children
🦋Make transition times as peaceful and rhythmic as possible
🦋Find more movement and exercise in your daily routine to de-stress
🦋Spend time everyday having fun. Play is your child’s main priority.
