Warren Wohltjen, 90, of Gainesville, Va. died on Dec. 23. He was born on March 6, 1929 in Jeffersonville N.Y. to the late John and Josephine Wohltjen.

Warren graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 1951 with a master’s degree in music and was married to Anne (Tiffert) Wohltjen on August 19, 1950. He was a long-time resident of Cornwall, where he was the music teacher and band director for Cornwall Central High School for 30 years before retiring and living in Summerville S.C., Edgewater Fla., Statesboro Ga., Mansfield, Texas and finally Gainesville. He was an avid fan of social media and derived tremendous joy keeping in touch with hundreds of his former students.

Warren is predeceased by his wife Anne and survived by daughter Amy and husband John of Portsmouth N.H., son Eric and wife Dawn of Alexandria Va., and grandchildren Megan and Brenden. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
