In‑crop dicamba applications are permitted from April 16 through June 30. Applicators must follow all label requirements, including buffer zone and temperature restrictions, to help protect neighboring crops and sensitive areas.

Testing has confirmed a case of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in a commercial poultry flock in Clay County. The farm is under quarantine, and response and containment measures are underway. Poultry growers in the region are urged to stay alert for signs of HPAI and continue following strict biosecurity practices to protect their flocks.

The Abandoned Pesticide Collection held on April 1, 2026, was a tremendous success! We had an outstanding turnout from farmers, applicators, and dealers for the Clay/Greene Spring 2026 Collection.
Thanks to everyone’s participation and support, we successfully collected a total of 95,801 pounds of disposal waste — a significant accomplishment that reflects the commitment to environmental stewardship and safe pesticide disposal in our communities.Clay County Extension Service- Piggott, ARArkansas Department of Agriculture
