5A PeeWee cheer and football and Jersey Day!

The 5th graders are learning about the ancient civilization of the Mayans in reading class. We talked about them playing a game called pok-a-tok. We played our own version! They couldn’t use their hands or feet and had to get the ball in the hoop. We had some pretty talented players!

6th grade is reading a story about Roald Dahl, and we tried some of the British candy that he mentioned. We tried Pear drops, licorice, gobstoppers, mint humbugs, Zotz, and sherbert suckers. Some said the Zotz were their favorite and some actually liked the licorice! 🍭🍬

We had “Flashlight Friday” today! This is always a hit with the kids. It’s one way to make reading fun. I forgot to take pictures of one class, and some had some really good spots that were hard to get pictures of them. I will get them next time. 📕📖🔦
