2025 was full of little hands, huge smiles, and big moments at CIC Preschool! 💕

🏁 We recently had a special guest, husband to one of our wonderful teachers and owner of a NASCAR race team, Sam Hunt Racing! 🏁

The kids got a behind-the-scenes look at the world of racing�
🏎️ Race cars can hit 200 mph�
🔥 Inside the car can get 50° hotter than outside�
🥵 Drivers can lose up to 12 pounds in a single race

He brought diecast cars, a helmet, and a racer’s uniform. One of our teachers even got to try on the uniform and helmet, which the kids LOVED. The kids also received hero cards from one of the drivers.

It was such a fun way to show our students a peek into the exciting world of racing! 🏁

Our teachers have decked the halls this holiday season ✨ Every classroom sparkles with cheer and creativity, filling each room with joy, laughter and the true meaning of the season ❤️🎄

✨Last week our shared sensory bins officially turned festive! From scooping and squishing to gingerbread cloud dough (holiday baking without the oven 🍪), children are enjoying Christmas-inspired sensory play that builds skills while feeling like holiday magic.🎄

A huge thank you to the Cornelius Fire Department for visiting us during our school-wide Letter F Week! The kids had an amazing time exploring the fire truck, asking the firefighters all the questions they could think of, watching one of their teachers get all geared up, and more! Talk about a Fire-tastic finish to Letter F Week!

I rotate our sensory bins several times throughout the year to keep play fresh, engaging, and meaningful. Some bins are inspired by holidays or seasons, like autumn leaves or harvest themes, while others are built around preschool interests or skill-building activities. Each one invites hands-on exploration, helping children build fine motor strength, language, creativity, and problem-solving skills... all through joyful, sensory-rich play.

This season, we're scooping corn, discovering forest treasures, and digging into fall colors... because little hands are really falling for sensory play!

As you're out and about this summer, we’d love your help spreading the word that there are still a few spots available in our 2’s and 4’s classes for the upcoming school year!

Our goal is to start the year with full classes in each age group, and your support makes a big difference.

After almost 25 years at CIC Preschool, I wanted to share with you that I have stepped down from my role as Director. This has been a deeply personal and heartfelt decision, and after much thought, I’ve decided to focus on my family and embrace this next chapter of life.

It has truly been an honor and a joy to be part of your children’s early years, watching them grow, learn, and shine.

I have complete confidence that Pastor Lisa & the Preschool Board will find a wonderful replacement to carry on the mission and heart of CIC Preschool. The school is in strong and caring hands, and I know its future will be bright.

I am grateful for your trust, support, and the love you’ve shown me throughout the years. The memories we’ve created together will stay with me always, and CIC Preschool will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family’s journey.
