Mary Smith Live Chaos Free

Mary Smith Live Chaos Free aka Chaos Free ADHD. Speaker & ADHD Coach helping families raise motivated, independent kids with ADHD. Distraction and impulsivity seemed to rule me.

I share practical, brain-based strategies for executive function, behavior, and motivation—without relying on rewards or punishment. Growing Up

I grew up with ADHD so, I know what it's like to live in constant disorganization and failure to achieve my potential. I always thought I could do better, I just couldn't will myself to get it done. Eventually, I came to believe its was some sort of chara

cter flaw that kept me from performing my best at anything. Knowing is Half the Battle

Being diagnosed with ADHD at age 35 was both a spiritual and intellectual awakening. I realized I wasn't stupid, my brain is just works differently. Physically, chemically, operationally, I am different from ~95% of the population. And the good news was, I could use that knowledge to learn organization skills, improve my focus and concentration, and soften my social interactions all in a way that made sense to me and my ADHD brain. Why I Coach

I want to work with "kids like me". I want them to know there is an adult who understands thems and what they are going through. I want to be a voice reminding them of their strengths, because they do have them, and helping them reach their personal goals - to not just feel successful but BE successful..

Compared to a generic CCE: this conference is built only for ADHD coaches, and my session gives you a way to read child behavior that moves parents from judgment to curiosity — something most trainings never touch.

What you get:
· Built only for ADHD coaches — depth on the exact work you do
· Tracks from foundational to advanced
· A global community of ADHD coaches
· Virtual, no travel, recordings free for 5 days

I'll be there because increasing a family's capacity beats controlling a child's behavior every time. That's the work this session is about.

Virtual · October 1–3, 2026 · CCE hours · Early Bird $249 through September 1, then $299.

Rooted, Regulated, and Resilient:.

You can’t improve a system you don’t understand.
Last week I had the opportunity to meet Deborah Dunman , founder of the Healing in Color Collective. She specializes in trauma-informed therapy and support for highly sensitive, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ folks.

I instantly felt the authenticity in her mission of providing a safe place for those not always understood and meeting people IN ALL ASPECTS of who and where they are.

Deb and her colleague, Micah Saviet, are now enrolling participants for their September 2026 cohort of ROOTED, REGULATED, and RESILIENT. It is an 8-week virtual psychoeducational group for neurodivergent adults navigating executive functioning challenges, overwhelm, masking, burnout, emotional intensity, and the pressure to keep up.

Participants learn practical tools for nervous-system regulation, greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and building daily rhythms that work with their neurodivergence instead of against it.

Past participants report exceptionally high satisfaction, along with strong ratings for psychological safety, relevance, connection, clarity, and structure.

If someone in your world is capable on the outside but exhausted on the inside, this is a resource worth sharing.

When a child won't start, the parent calls it defiance, and you take that label at face value.

You'll walk out able to:
· Distinguish initiation difficulty, motivation challenge, and demand avoidance
· Recognize the different escalation cycle behind each
· Apply Self-Determination Theory tools that build autonomy and connection

Virtual · October 1–3, 2026 · CCE hours · Early Bird $249 through September 1, then $299.

They didn't cover this in coach training: the child who won't start, the parent who calls it defiance, and the label you almost take at face value.

Initiation, motivation, and demand avoidance look nearly identical from the outside, and naming the wrong one keeps a family stuck in conflict and shame. ""Initiation, Motivation, and Demand Avoidance: The Mistakes Parents (and Coaches) Make with Neurodivergent Children"" is about the part of a child's behavior that a single label doesn't reach.

Virtual · October 1–3, 2026 · CCE hours · Super Early Bird $199 through July 15, then $249.

Big shout out to Daniella Karidi, PhD. and her podcast ADHDtime. Finally a podcast that asks experts to bring the science behind addressing the real-world challenges of ADHD.

I was happy to contribute the science behind why rewards and punishment only add to the dysfunction instead of building the skills needed to thrive.

🎙️ New Episode of ADHDtime on Air!

What if one of the most common parenting strategies for ADHD is also one of the least effective for building lasting skills?

In Episode 17 of ADHDtime on Air, I sit down with fellow ADHD coach Mary Smith to discuss why rewards and punishments may not be the best approach for supporting children with ADHD.

Instead, we explore what it looks like to focus on skill development, internal motivation, emotional regulation, and realistic expectations, while also supporting parents through the challenges of burnout.

In this episode, we discuss:
• Why ADHD is a developmental disorder rather than simply a behavior problem
• Why rewards and punishments often backfire
• Building skills instead of chasing compliance
• Practical strategies for reducing parent burnout
• Creating a supportive home environment where children can thrive

Whether you're a parent, educator, coach, or clinician, I hope you'll find practical ideas that you can apply right away.

If you enjoy the episode, I'd be grateful if you shared it with someone who might benefit from the conversation.
