While our classrooms were quiet today, our teachers were hard at work! Today was Professional Development Day, and our dedicated team spent the time diving into new teaching techniques, expanding their early childhood skills, and getting their classrooms refreshed and ready for next week. Our educators love learning just as much as our students do, and today was all about finding new ways to inspire early scientific exploration, creative expression, and hands-on learning. We can't wait to welcome all of our wonderful students and families back on Monday!

🎶💃 In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, our students enjoyed listening to Spanish music, moving to the rhythm, and learning more about Hispanic culture through stories. 📚🌎

Inspired by the vibrant colors and sounds they experienced, students decorated guitars, choosing bright colors to make each one uniquely their own! 🎨

Meanwhile, our younger students strengthened their fine motor skills as they carefully adhered colorful pieces of tissue paper to create their own festive piñatas. 🪅

Autumn has officially arrived in our toddler classroom, and our little learners are diving into the season with all five senses!

Our room is buzzing with creative energy as busy hands finger paint colorful autumn leaves, stamp real apples into masterpieces, and press dried leaves onto contact paper to create brilliant suncatchers. Between building fine motor control while color-sorting pompom "apples" and working together to build a collaborative fall tree poster for our wall, these hands-on moments make early learning so much fun.

These seasonal projects do so much more than decorate our room—they invite our toddlers into early scientific exploration as they observe natural textures and seasonal changes, while inspiring creative expression through open-ended art and color play. Every messy, joyful project helps our toddlers explore the changing world around them while building essential developmental skills. Which fall activity is your toddler’s favorite to do at home?

Our Pre-K learners kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month with a festive celebration for Mexican Independence Day!

Our table was dressed in red, white, and green, play food, and a special snack of chips and salsa. To wrap up the fun, our little artists created Mexican flag handprint art, blending creative expression with early cultural learning.

This celebration was just the beginning—we are so excited for our upcoming Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week starting September 28th! Keep an eye out for more details on how our students will be celebrating all week long.

That quick taste of cool weather yesterday had our toddler class officially declaring it Fall!

Our little creators have been hard at work crafting crepe paper pumpkin suncatchers to bring fall right into our classroom. It might still feel like summer outside, but inside, we are officially in pumpkin patch mode.

Beyond filling our space with seasonal cheer, these projects give our toddlers a hands-on way to explore the changing seasons while strengthening the fine motor skills needed for creative expression.
