Ever watch your child ace their homework while you're standing right next to them—only to completely freeze up the second you step away? 🙋🏾‍♀️

​They just went over the steps with you, but the moment they're on their own, the frustration sets in: "I don't know what to do!"
​When kids freeze up during independent homework, it's rarely a lack of effort. It usually comes down to two things:

​1️⃣ Breaking Down Steps: Knowing the answer with help is very different from knowing the first small step to take alone.

2️⃣ Confidence & Brain Energy: If a child has gaps from earlier grades, hard tasks spark self-doubt, causing their focus and motivation to shut down.

​How to fix it at home:

​Meet them at their actual level: Rebuilding foundational skills builds the confidence needed for harder tasks.

​Build focus before workload: Coaching self-control, routine, and frustration management must happen before the academic work can get done.

PPP will no longer offer childcare. We will be doing tutoring only Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 5p til 6p. We also will be offering virtual tutoring. So please let us know your needs and we will do our best to accommodate!😊
