Nature crafts, paper planes, puzzles, oh my! Summer camp is off to a great start! We love the fun and relaxing days of summer with our LMS campers. ❤️🌞

In the last days of school, Montessori classrooms benefit from the consistent, 3-hour morning work cycle. The daily work cycle keeps learning on track, especially when big changes to the routine are around the corner. We are excited for summer, AND we are still enjoying our daily work.💖

Field Day was drenched with fun this year! 💦 ☀️ We had spoon & egg races, slip-n-slide races, games, and lots of splashing around. Shout out to our PE teacher 💕Ms. Sydney💕 for planning an amazing day of fun for the whole school!

Today, players from the Memphis Football Club visited Lamplighter for a skills demonstration, friendly goal-kicking match, and to offer free tickets to our students. We are so excited to cheer them on as they kick off their 2026 USL2 season!

In these last few weeks of school, students are challenging themselves to master big concepts across the subjects. Way to push through, LMS students!👏👏👏

It’s time to harvest! The students are literally reaping what they sowed.😂 This week in Outdoor Education, they harvested their spring veggies and prepared a salad together. They have learned so much this year about the cultivation of food and the agricultural cycle. And now they are enjoying the fruits of their labor! 🍓🥬🥕

This week’s Student Assembly included wonderful musical performances from Lamplighter staff and parents. Bravo👏👏👏 to our LMS musicians!

Toddlers in the Montessori classroom are learning shapes, colors, pouring, using scissors, and developing fine motor skills for handwriting. Most importantly, they are learning to FOCUS and concentrate for longer periods of time…a skill that will serve them for life!😊

Every day is Earth Day at Lamplighter! A love of nature and respect for our planet is built into Montessori education. It’s one of the many things that makes this approach to learning so special. A deep connection to the outdoors is one of the best gifts a child can be given.🌍💚🌍💚🌍💚🌍
