Tiger Family - Heavy Hearts

Our Tiger Family is saddened by the loss of one of our own. The passing of Kerry Sweeney will leave a void that will endure forever. For the families, players, coaches and Tiger alumni that had the opportunity to know Kerry, his passion and generosity will long be remembered. Kerry was a tremendous coach and leader with a burning desire to teach and mentor young baseball players while challenging them to compete at the highest level. His tenure with the Memphis Tigers spawned a host of players that achieved their dreams of playing at the collegiate and professional level. More importantly, he was a fierce advocate for all of the players he coached and always stood ready to assist them on and off the field. Kerry will be missed but make no mistake in that he will never be forgotten by the Tiger Family and all who knew him. Please keep his wife Lisa, daughters Kenzie and Kelsey, and the rest of his family in your thoughts and prayers.
