In just a few short weeks The Connection Tutors Family will be rolling out the Steam Carpet for our Summer STE(A)M Program!

STE(A)M is the evolution of STEM education; it is the same STEM with “art” added in!
This program allows children the ability to explore different topics in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.
The exploration and development of our students' gifts and talents, natural curiosity, socialization skills and basic problem solving and experimental skills are our primary objectives this season.
Our tutors will provide your child with the confidence and comprehensive knowledge to meet the changing standards and to feel comfortable problem solving, speaking, and reading.
Let’s get into our curriculum!

Math Club

Summer Math Tutoring Program
Our program consists of two components: a basic thinking component and a critical thinking component.
Basic Thinking Math Tutoring is aligned with Common Core standards.
Critical Thinking Math enables students to develop depth perception, problem-solving, and reasoning.
Math Tutoring helps children develop their critical and analytical thinking skills.
Skills that students will develop in math tutoring are not limited to just numbers; ideally students will advance in academic studies and become more confident in all areas of study!

Book worms Club
Summer Reading and Writing Tutoring & Enrichment Program aims to guide students towards mastering reading, writing, speaking and understanding. Our diverse strategies and content motivate students, nurture study and habits and develop language skills so your child can become a lifelong reader!

Science Club with Eli the Science Guy!
This fun filled program will enlighten your child to trust the science! As children learn more about the world around them! Assisting children in developing an interest in science will teach them to become keen observers who can ask relevant questions and make informed predictions.
Improving critical thinking skills and developing a taste for the knowledge for the world around them from the air we breathe to the food we eat. What makes things move and what keeps the world spinning!

Kindergarten Cadets (Exclusive to Pre-k children)
This critical thinking skills program ensures your child is ready for the fall with hands-on, project based learning! In this unique 2 week program, they’ll dive into kindergarten skill development. Skills such as math and literacy, while discovery new routines such as hallway, lunch, standing in line, quiet voices and bus etiquette.
Kindergarten readiness aides your child with the transition into structured school environments with confidence and knowledge!

Player Club
Playing board games while secretly learning sounds like a dream! With our program it’s possible! Teaching collaboration, inquiry and critical thinking. Our tutors will use these games to teach your child patience and to set goals. Play is an essential part of our mental and social development. Playing in groups brings people closer together, strengthens relationships and can help make meeting new people easier!

Art Club
Our tutors use art to help children develop motor skills, language skills, social skills, decision making, risk-taking and inventiveness.
Visual arts teaches children about color, layout, perspective and balance; all techniques are necessary for presentations of academic work.

Movers and Shakers Club
This hybrid program of health and wellness and life skills brings us to an important balance in an overall healthy life! We will get your child up and moving and show them how fun and exciting exploration of exercise and fitness is. We will be teaching healthy choices as well as the mysterious world of human anatomy. The important balance of food and fitness and how it affects our bodies.
Life skills program will focus more on the development of organization and systematic planning, the value of creativity, resourcefulness, industry, the desire for functionality and concern for the environment.
We will also be teaching the skill of following instructions which teaches your child there is an order to do things but also teaches them to think outside of the box.

STE(A)M Summer Program begins end of June 2022.
