Little Dippers

We have started enrollment for our Spring session of Little Dippers for children age 4 (by December 1st, 2023) to 6 years old! We will meet on Thursdays from 9-11am from February 22nd until May 16th. Email [email protected] for enrollment information. We look forward to hearing from you!

We had a beautiful morning at Orca Beach with lots of life under the rocks to discover. We're feeling very thankful for the sun and low tides this week, and it's been a gift to spend time together outside.

An incredible morning at Hartney Bay digging for shorebird food and enjoying sunshine and freedom on the mudflats.

Another incredible day. We're so thankful for the weather this week! We explored a tidal slough, felt freedom running on snow crust, jumped creeks, and ended up on the beach. Lots of life to discover on the beach, and some of us did some nature journaling of what we'd found. Thank you for the happy day.

Yesterday’s Little Dippers session felt full of joy, discovery, sunshine, and play. We explored a tidal meadow as it went from mud and ice to sun and water and we made beautiful bird's nests in the trees.

We ran in the trees today until we found the perfect sunny place to play. We identified different types of lichens and explored the forest around us.

Our winter/spring session is off to wonderful start. We have been playing in the snow, the wind, the rain, and the sun in the mountains, in tide-pools, and in the forest. We listened for nature sounds, observed plants and animals, built shelters, played nature games, and made nature art of all different kinds. We work together and follow our questions to learn about the world around us. We are looking forward to more time together in the outdoors!
