We kicked off our Friday celebrating students who earned a Student Shout-Out for demonstrating an outstanding work ethic! These Redhounds are taking initiative, showing dependability, and putting forth their best effort each day. We loved treating them to a special breakfast in recognition of their hard work!

We also celebrated our growing list of XtraMath Masters who are putting in the practice and showing what dedication and perseverance can accomplish! 🎉

We are so proud of our Redhounds for continuing to grow, work hard, and make great things happen!

Have a wonderful weekend, Redhounds! ❤️🤍🐾

Today, our 5th Grade Leadership Team came together for some powerful conversations about communication as a leader and what it truly means to lead the Redhound Way!

Students collaborated to identify examples and non-examples of each of our Redhound Way standards, listening to different perspectives, and challenging one another to think about how our actions impact others.

And WOW, were we inspired! 🌟 The conversations, collaboration, and genuine desire to make our school better were incredible!

These young leaders aren’t waiting until they’re older to make a difference. They’re helping shape our school culture RIGHT NOW!

We couldn’t be prouder of their voices, their ideas, and their commitment to helping our entire Redhound team grow! ❤️🤍🐾

❤️🤍 What a week at CES! 🤍❤️

From Shark Tank presentations, Scientist Circles, and Math Escape Rooms to celebrating our students with Redhound Way Student Shout-outs, it was an amazing week filled with learning, growth, and recognition!

We are so proud of our students who demonstrated outstanding Work Ethic throughout the month of September. As we head into October, we’re excited to shift our focus to Communication and celebrate all the ways our students demonstrate this important part of the Redhound Way! 🗣️🐾

It has been a fantastic start to the school year, and we are so proud of all that our students and staff have accomplished already.

Have a wonderful weekend, CES! ❤️🤍🐾

When Life Gives you Lemons in 5th grade….

Today our fifth graders took their study of economics from the classroom to the Shark Tank! After working in teams to develop a business plan for their own lemonade stand, students stepped into the spotlight and pitched their ideas to a panel of “sharks,” hoping to secure an investment! 💰🍋

But this experience was about so much more than lemonade! Our students practiced skills that will serve them far beyond the classroom; communicating ideas clearly, collaborating with a team, listening to and building on the ideas of others, understanding their audience, and finding creative ways to capture attention and generate interest. They had to think, problem-solve, persuade, and work together, and they absolutely delivered!

A huge shoutout to our 5th grade Social Studies teachers for creating and facilitating such an engaging, authentic learning experience to learn about economics, cost profits, specialization, and comparative advantage. And to our fifth graders: we are incredibly proud of the confidence, creativity, collaboration, and communication you demonstrated today!

The sharks may have been looking for a good investment, but we’d say investing in these Redhounds is a pretty safe bet! ❤️🤍🦈🍋

Update: With today’s attendance, Mrs. Cloud’s class has taken the lead! It’s going to be a tight race!

We have a 4-way tie on our Ice Cream Attendance Challenge! The race is getting intense. Remember, the first homeroom to 10 scoops wins an Ice Cream Party! We need 100% attendance each day. Our tie is between Mrs. Cloud, Mrs. Boggs, Mrs. Roark, and Mrs. Cooke! Which homeroom is going to win? 🍦🐾❤️🤍

What an amazing Friday at CES! ❤️🤍

Between recognizing students for demonstrating The Redhound Way: Work Ethic, our PAWS Card drawings, and celebrating Dolly Day in honor of the one and only Dolly Parton, there was never a dull moment! The Dolly Trolley even paid our teachers and staff a visit!🎶🦋

We are so proud of our students and all the great things happening at CES. Be on the lookout next week as we highlight our Work Ethic shoutouts! 🌟

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! ❤️🤍
