Welcome to the official page for the Corbin Independent School District The Corbin Independent School District is located in Corbin, Kentucky.

The district, incorporated in 1902, upholds its mission of striving to be the best school system it can possibly be by maintaining a tradition of high academics, student success, and ever-expanding extracurricular programs. Ranking as one of the larger Independent School Districts in the state, Corbin has approximately 3,000 students from preschool through 12th grade. The Corbin District consisten

tly ranks among the top districts in the state according to the Kentucky Core Content Test (KCCT). The district consists of 4 schools (Corbin Primary, Corbin Elementary, Corbin Middle, and Corbin High), a preschool center, an area technology center, an alternative school, and a School of Innovation. Schools within the Corbin Independent District are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools for their continued academic achievement. The district is listed in the top 98th percentile in the state and has been named a District of Distinction, a District of Innovation, and a Distinguished District. Many of our students, teachers, staff, and programs have also been recognized for their achievements in education and extracurricular activities.

📢 Important Policy Update for Corbin High School

Beginning this school year, students will be required to use a clear or mesh backpack when bringing a backpack to school and will be stored in their assigned lockers.

🏐 Athletic bags are still permitted but must be taken to a designated location in the gymnasium upon arrival.
