“On Wednesday in Alabama, a Walker County Sheriff's Office Deputy came across a man walking down the road with an oxygen tank and learned he is a Disabled American Veteran trying to walk/hitchhike from the Jasper area to Huntsville for a Dr. Appointment he was told he could not miss. With no way to get there, he said he started walking. The deputy acted quickly and escorted the Gulf War Veteran to the Cullman County line where a Cullman Sheriff Deputy picked him up. The deputy then transported him to the Morgan County Line where a Morgan County Sheriff Deputy took over and met a Madison County Sheriff Office Deputy in Huntsville who finished the trip and took the man to his appointment. After an overnight stay, we were happy to do it all again today..... in reverse to help get the man back home. We are thankful for our Veterans and were honored to play a small role in supporting this man who gave a great deal for our country!” 🇺🇸 ❤️

There is hope

Two years ago I walked into the hospital thinking I was just in severe withdrawal from my addiction only to find out I was dying of sepsis from using and if I waited even a day longer the infection would have spread to my brain and I’d be either a vegetable or dead. Two years since I spent 3 months in the hospital fighting for my life and begging god to help me overcome my he**in addiction. Two years since I was told I had to have open heart surgery and that my heart would never be the same again. Two years since I wrote my last wishes down in a notebook in case I didn’t make it.

Flash forward two years and I’m clean, healthy, and healing. Even though after my surgery I watched my boyfriend and two best friends die of addiction I remained clean. I’ve been faced with so many tests since two years ago but I refuse to die from this. I refuse to become another statistic. Recovery is possible,
I’m living proof that miracles do happen. ❤💪

Last weekend home owners found a 5-6 week old female eastern grey squirrel in their yard, crying and walking up to them, dehydrated and malnourished. They brought her in. It was apparent something had happened to mom and after a day or two she had braved her way down to seek help. They were told to please watch and listen for siblings and to call if they found any. The following day another call came, her brother had showed up mid day, very dehydrated and covered in fleas.

Here they are a couple days later, cleaned up, rehydrated, full bellies, and back together.

THIS is why when you can’t reunite with mom you ALWAYS make every effort to find them all, and this is why you NEVER, EVER separate siblings. ❤️❤️❤️

Animals do Mormons

"Yesterday I witnessed something that took my breath away. I heard a sound at the window of the cottage. When I looked, a cedar waxwing had hit the window and fallen to the deck. It’s mate stood beside it. It was clear that the fallen bird was dead. I turned away for a moment and when I looked again, it’s mate had hopped over. It lay down beside its partner, their heads touching. It closed its eyes and passed over to Spirit with its mate. The sadness and beauty of the moment was such a privilege to witness. If anyone has ever doubted that animals feel emotion and love, this moment was absolute proof of both. Nature truly has much to teach us."
