So much fun it’s almost criminal! 🚓🚨

This morning, Moon Township Police stopped by to explain their roles in our community! After a quick review of emergency phone numbers, the kiddos had the opportunity to explore the inside of a police car! 🚓 They tested out the driver’s seat, turned the lights on, and even got to talk over the speaker! Interacting with local law enforcement reminds the kids that police officers are here to help in the event of an emergency!

Special thanks to Moon Township Police Department and Officer Blystone for spending time with us this morning!🚔

Construction trucks make school “wheely” exciting! 🛞

October is Community Helpers Month and we have a truckload of visitors coming to help us celebrate! Our first visit was from Moon Township Municipal Authority! The kiddos had the opportunity to explore a dump truck, excavator, bucket truck, tractor and lawn mower with their friends! Hands on experiences and learning through play are key components of our Wonder of Learning curriculum! 🚧

Special thanks to Moon Township Public Works for spending their morning with us! We can’t wait to learn all about the people who make a difference in our community!🦺👷🏻‍♂️

What a fun visit from Miss Nicole and the Moon Township Public Library (Moon Township Public Library) today! We loved listening to new stories and singing songs together! 📖

Literacy concepts are a cornerstone of our research-backed, Wonder of Learning curriculum. Our classroom libraries allow for open, daily access to books for learners of all ages! Our Pre-K kiddos are focused on letter sounds and letter formation using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum! Meanwhile, our preschoolers are working on identifying letters and perfecting their pencil grip! For our younger learners, we are fostering a love for reading by reading their favorite stories and singing songs as a whole group activity! 📝📚

We love having community resources visit each month and share their love for reading with us! Thanks again Miss Nicole! 📙📘

“When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary”- Fred Rogers

Our Wonders of Learning curriculum poses a new question for us examine each week! This week, our question was “How do I feel?” We explored books, activities, and real-life situations that resulted in a range of emotions! 📕 🎨

We practiced making “emotion” faces, examined our own facial expressions in mirrors, and worked with our teachers to label how we were feeling! Identifying our emotions helps us regulate our bodies and communicate more effectively! From our infant classrooms all the way up to our Pre-K kiddos, we’ve been working together to explore all the emotions we experience during a day at school! 😀😜😍

✨Putting the “GRAND” in grandparents✨

Today we celebrated some of the people who help us grow and love us to the moon and back! We loved showing our grandparents our school and celebrating together! ❤️

Our Grandparent’s Day celebration was full of laughs, crafts and memories that we will cherish! We created medals and bracelets, explored puzzles and blocks and enjoyed all the extra snuggles our grandparents had to offer! Thank you so much to everyone that helped us celebrate by sending in pictures or attending in person! We hope everyone enjoyed Grandparent’s Day 2026!🎉

The thing about a Goddard preschooler is they’re going to be curious. Keep the questions coming 👏

Personally, we’d hire them as videographers 📹

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
