rams have a different approach to learning and education. Early Childhood Education, over the last half century has been a downward extension of Elementary School. In many ways, early childhood as the first stage in the educational ladder is quite different from its predecessors (elementary and secondary). It is grounded in philosophy, articulated methodology (methodologically) and in theory and research. The people that contributed to the development of early childhood education came from occupations and professions outside the academic domain. The only point they had in common, was an understanding of children. That’s why early childhood education is unique: it comes from the child, and not from the subject matter.
