Congratulations graduates of the Class of 2026! 🎓🐯💙🎉

Our fifth grade graduation ceremony truly is the culmination of all the learning, self-expression, confidence, and growth our students have fostered during their time at St. Thomas. We are immensely proud of all they have accomplished, and know they will continue to achieve success at their respective middle schools. Visit the link in our bio to view more photos from this meaningful day!

To our graduates, always remember the sentiment shared by Head of School Sarah Kemeness during the ceremony: soon, you will wear new school colors, cheer for different mascots, represent different teams, and celebrate new traditions, but one thing will always remain true—you will always be Tigers.

What does it mean to educate children in the world of AI at St. Thomas—and what are we not willing to lose?

This was the focus of a professional development session for our faculty yesterday facilitated by Nishant Mehta, Founder of Mehta Cognition.

The discussion centered on curiosity, thoughtful discernment, and the responsibility we have to prepare students for a changing world, while remaining grounded in St. Thomas’ mission and values.

Our amazing teachers reflected on the exceptional work already happening in their classrooms and considered how emerging technologies might strengthen learning, creativity, and connection.

As the world around us evolves, our commitment at St. Thomas remains the same: staying true to our mission and focusing on the growth and formation of every child during the years that matter most.

Thank you to Nishant for joining us, and to our dedicated teachers for giving this session their all as they prepare for a summer of rest and reflection ahead!

Our Faculty and Staff Years of Service Luncheon is always such a special event; it gives us the opportunity to recognize those reaching milestone years at St. Thomas. Each honoree is introduced by a fellow faculty or staff member, showing the impact they have made and the inspiration they bring to our community every day.

To our 2025-2026 Years of Service honorees: thank you for your tireless commitment and dedication to our students and the entire St. Thomas community. It is a joy to celebrate each of you!

Please join us in celebrating the retirement of our beloved art teacher, Mrs. Evans Crews, after 29 years of teaching at St. Thomas!

Mrs. Crews’ connection to St. Thomas spans a lifetime as an alum, alumni parent, and exceptional educator. She has helped generations of students discover how to express themselves with confidence and creativity, seeing each “mistake” as simply an opportunity for a new idea to grow.

Among the many ways our community celebrated her, it was only fitting that the 2025-2026 school yearbook, which Mrs. Crews put together with her partner, Mrs. Carbajales, as she has for many years, be dedicated to her.

At the close of her retirement ceremony, Father Tim shared: “At the time God created humanity, the only thing we had seen Him do was create. Therefore, some believe we are most in the image and likeness of God when we are creating...perhaps the only thing greater than creating is inspiring others to see that image and likeness of God in themselves.”

Mrs. Crews, thank you for all you have done and created for St. Thomas in your classroom and beyond. We are wishing you a joyful and well-earned retirement!
