Congratulations to Miami Law alumnus Alejandro Arias, J.D. ’12, LL.M. ’12, on being named one of Bloomberg Law’s 2026 “They’ve Got Next: The 40 Under 40” honorees!

A partner at Holland & Knight in Miami, Alejandro was recognized for his accomplishments in land use and real estate law, including his work on transformative development and affordable housing projects throughout South Florida. Bloomberg Law also highlighted his commitment to mentorship, pro bono service, and making a lasting impact on the Miami community.

We are proud to celebrate Alejandro and this well-deserved national recognition.

We are saddened to share that a recent graduate, Shevauna Dumay, passed away a few weeks ago after a short battle with cancer. Shevauna first came into our lives as an eager 16-year-old high school student applying to our 3+3 program.

Shevauna was very active as a law student leader and an extraordinary Ambassador. She was employed at Cole, Scott, and Kissane, but her treatment prevented her from taking the bar exam.

Her mother asked that we share this news with the community. A celebration of life will be held in Palm Beach Gardens on July 11th at 10 a.m. at Christ Fellowship Church, 5312 Northlake Blvd.
