Congrats to our Get Out the Vote team and students across the campus, especially our political student organizations that helped UM become one of the Most Engaged Campuses for College Student Voting!!

University recognized as a ‘Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting’ For its intentional work in 2022 to institutionalize nonpartisan democratic engagement and increase student voter turnout, the University of Miami has been acknowledged by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, a network that engages more than 9 million students.

Big shoutout to the amazing student leaders who participated in Umiami Alternative Breaks during Fall Break. Alternative Breaks allow students the opportunity to serve their community, learn about current issues and make lasting friendships🥹

Great job to the National Gandhi Day of Service Organization and Executive Board for planning an outstanding service day for the 300 UM students that came out to volunteer in the Miami community!!

We are excited to have Lindsey Goldstein join us today for her first day at the U as the next Associate Director of the Butler Center!

In her role, she will be overseeing many of the service and civic learning initiatives. Her oversight will include advising 15+ student organizations, service-related program boards and student organizations, volunteer portal management, campus wide service days, partnerships with 250 community agencies, implementing strategic initiatives regarding community service and civic learning, Social Innovation Grants, University of Miami Alternative Breaks, National Volunteer Week, Leadership UMiami, Hug the Lake, Hurricanes Holiday Gift Drive, supporting Get Out The Vote, Civic Scholars Program, and developing programs supporting student engagement at the U.
