Slow burn: the Salzburg Easter Festival has announced that the Berlin Philharmonic will return from 2026, with Kirill Petrenko conducting and Kirill Serebrennikov directing a new Ring cycle (over five years, with a break for Schoenberg’s Moses und Aron in 2028).

Happy New Year 2025!

I truly believe that:

1️⃣ You deserve to feel proud of your craft.

All that hard work, hours of practice, moments of creativity and inspiration…

It's easy to forget that sometimes — especially when self-doubt creeps in — but your art deserves to be shared and celebrated.

2️⃣ You deserve a safe space to grow.

Not just for your technique, but as a person. A space where you're free to explore, make mistakes, and embrace the learning process without fear of judgement. That’s where the magic happens.

3️⃣ You are worthy of having the confidence to share your art with the world.

It’s SO easy to feel vulnerable, wondering if others will see your value... but the truth is, the world needs your voice, your sound, your music.

Don’t let the fear of not being "perfect" stop you from showing up.

4️⃣ You’ve shown immense courage by choosing to create, and that takes a lot of strength.

You don’t always get the applause or recognition you deserve, but know that your courage and dedication are SO valuable. You are seen. You are heard. You are appreciated.

5️⃣ Also — you are enough. Full stop.

You’ve already put in the work, and that alone makes you worthy of every opportunity.

Trust that you have everything you need to succeed.

6️⃣ Lastly, yes, you deserve to trust yourself on every stage.

That self-belief you admire in others? It’s not something we’re born with — it’s something we nurture and build over time.

It’s time to take control of your mental game and show the world your full potential.

🌟 Because YOU deserve to shine.

Always rooting for you,
Your music companion, Gökçe 💙

We are so excited to welcome Tyson Destin to our Salzburg coaching team this summer!

Meet Tyson Deaton!

Tyson is the music director/pianist for "The Climate Opera Project" at NYU's Theatre C in the Paulson Center on April 27 and 28.

Known for his broad range of repertoire and versatility of style, Tyson Deaton has established a reputation for leading energetic and inventive performances. With his musical roots in the standard operatic canon, his affinity for contemporary works is acclaimed.

Frequently entrusted with new work development as a musical authority, Deaton has led premieres of an impressive roster of contemporary composers. At the opposite end of the musical spectrum, he is currently completing a scholarly edition of the works of Joseph Bologne de Saint-Georges.

Joining San Francisco Opera for Sweeney Todd, followed by L'elisir d'amore at Opera Birmingham, Deaton has also worked with Houston Grand Opera, NYCO, American Modern Ensemble, Opera Omaha, Atlanta Opera, Sarasota Opera, and Kentucky Opera, among many others.

Deaton led Cipullo's Glory Denied in his Fort Worth Opera debut, yielding the first professional recording of this work (Albany), rated “Best of 2013” (Washington Post), and one among “12 Best Full-Length Opera Recordings of 2014” (OperaNews).
