At Coral Gables Preschool, our students practice name writing in more than one way. Name play in the early stages of a preschooler’s schooling has many cognitive benefits which include the ideals that recognizing one’s name helps children feel important, recognizing others’ names builds community, name recognition builds concepts of print and begins the process of site reading, and knowing their name supports beginning math concepts.

There is a phrase that quotes “Let them get messy. Kids are washable!” and that is what we like to do! Messy play such as today’s snowman activity and iced liquid inspired by Antártica, enhances language, social, physical, and sensory development, fosters independent play, and lastly, sparks imagination! CGP Thanksgiving Feast 🦃 •
Yesterday’s event has us feeling so very thankful and full of joy! We would like to give a BIG thank you to our parents who allowed for this to happen! The feast was a delicious success and our children had a great time. Our school mascot, Charlie, also made a special appearance to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving! We will see you next Monday. Have a blessed holiday, CGP family! 🧡
