Dear Economics Club Members:

I would like to inform you that the Economics Club will be holding a virtual election for the e-board for the next school year. If you are interested in applying for a position, please kindly complete the form which is available through the link below. You will have until Friday, April 10, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. to submit the form. Even if you have already expressed interest in serving on the e-board or are currently on the e-board, it is still mandatory that you complete this form: https://forms.gle/eQVqpS9xRR2nDm9q6.

After all potential candidates submit the form, we will start the voting process.

As all classes are online and there are active social distancing recommendations in effect, there have been concerns about students becoming bored because of the highly restricted public interaction. Since we are students in the midst of our education, we should resist the temptation to become lured into a state of complacency. We believe that even as we protect ourselves and our families and show compassion for others in such a challenging situation, we can also spend our time constructively and wisely. The fact that we have a desire to pursue professional careers should lead us to leverage our time wisely and enhance and cultivate the skills that will serve us well in the future. One way that we can currently use our time is to read! You are your greatest investment! We hope that the following reading list will serve as a valuable resource to empower you both as students and as members of the Economics Club.

We hope that all of you are safe and in good health. As the campus remains closed in response to the Coronavirus crisis, we wanted to update you on the current status of the Economics Club. Originally, we planned to conduct virtual meetings. However, in response to the stated preference for series of weekly posts by many of you, we will write topics about what you all want to know more about!!
