Joshua, former host of NPR's "1A" and MSNBC's "This Week with Joshua Johnson," currently leads the conversation with his own interactive show, "The Night Light." 💡

Join us for an evening of student recognition and inspiration with a media icon! The reception will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony. Open to all!

We are thrilled to share that distinguished scholar and award-winning author, Ronald L. Jackson II, is joining the UM School of Communication faculty in spring 2024.

At the University of Miami, Jackson will be jointly appointed as a tenured professor in the Department of Communication Studies and the University of Miami Department of Journalism and Media Management.

The 1-hour program features work produced entirely by a team of University of Miami students, who examine the history of the Everglades, investigate the biggest issues it faces and the ongoing efforts to save it, and look ahead at the future of a place that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world.

2023-2024 E-Board Openings for Media Management Association
Media Management Association (MMA) has two additional offer positions open for the 2023-2024 academic year:
• President
• Treasurer/ Secretary II
MMA Officers hone their leadership skills by planning events and expanding the influence of the association on campus. Among other things, MMA officers introduce speakers, create flyers, and update the organization's Instagram account. "Media Management is the best major on campus" - Michel Dupagne, Ph.D.
To run for MMA Office, one must:
1. Be a UM student
2. Be an active member of MMA for at least one semester
a. i.e be on the MMA Listserve before the end of the nominations-- all Media Management students should be
3. Have (and maintained) a minimum 3.0 GPA
