After years of creative students showcasing their work off campus we now have an on-campus home for art: The University of Miami Art Gallery @ The Chapel
This summer there are local art events taking place in the gallery, when school resumes in August check back for information on student exhibits.

A team of researchers from the University of Miami and a coral nonprofit are discovering new ways to support coral baby growth in the fight for coral restoration on the coastline. Professor Vivek Prakash is on the team with faculty from University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science and the University of Miami College of Engineering along with SECORE International 🌊

Psychologist Brian Doss launched a new program this year called OurRelationship: a research-backed digital program designed to help couples strengthen their relationships, all from the convenience of a smartphone or computer.
The app brings the availability of couples therapy to modern times where people have busy lives and can find it hard to schedule time for a session. Through OurRelationship calls can be scheduled in the evening or weekends and there are resources to access 24/7 online as well.

Seeing the stars on a clear night is actually kind of difficult in South Florida. There's light pollution and tall buildings, it takes some effort to see what's up in the sky if you are into astronomy.
This year the University of Miami Department of Physics brought the sky inside with a new portable planetarium which holds a good amount of people inside and a very capable software to showcase the sky and much more 🌌

This spring students at the University of Miami had an interesting opportunity on campus: to learn from a former FBI special agent who spent more than twenty years catching spies.
Joe Navarro built a career off of reading people's body language and spent an evening with students on campus sharing practical knowledge on body language and behaviors that he believes can propel them into careers in a world of technology and artificial intelligence.
