Join us to CONGRATULATE Arushi Malik on receiving the American Psychological Association's 2026 Dissertation Research Grant in Developmental Psychology!
This award will support follow-up studies extending her dissertation research, which explores whether infant well-being can serve as a predictor of later health and well-being throughout childhood.
We are excited to see this important work continue and are proud that Arushi will be recognized as an award recipient at the 2026 APA Conference.

Congratulations to Kent Schomber on being recognized with the Dr. Rod Wellens Award!
Named in honor of former Department Chairman Dr. Rod Wellens, this award celebrates exceptional dedication and service to the Department of Psychology. Well deserved, Kent!
Dr. Wellens joined the University in 1972, became a full professor in 1988 and chair of the psychology department in 1992 - a post he held with distinction until 2013.
