Student Highlight !

Nikolas Fabian Ferreyra is currently in his +1 year of master’s studies at the University of Miami, participating in the Fellows in Latin American Studies program. He completed his undergraduate studies last year with a dual major in Latin American Studies and International Studies, and he aims to finish his master’s degree by next semester, alongside his capstone project.

The PlusOne Program has enabled him to delve deeper into the issues he is passionate about and has provided an extra year to refine his understanding of the political and social dynamics in Latin America, which will aid him in pursuing a career in international law.

When advising underclassmen considering the 4+1 program, Nikolas emphasizes the importance of not selling oneself short. He encourages students to pursue their dreams and goals, noting that the University provides the structure to achieve them, but it is ultimately up to the individual to take the initiative. He also stresses the value of building strong relationships with professors, who possess extensive knowledge and experience and genuinely want to help students succeed.
