💧🪙 How many drops can fit on a penny?

Our 8th grade science students put their predictions to the test during a penny lab investigation! Students carefully counted how many drops of water a penny could hold before overflowing, then analyzed their results to determine why some turns held more or fewer drops than others. Using evidence from their observations, students justified their thinking and explained the differences in outcomes. Great job using science practices to think critically and support conclusions with evidence!

In Mrs. Mobley's science class, learning is about more than just getting the right answer! Students were challenged to justify their responses while taking a quiz, using evidence and explaining their thinking. By sharing their reasoning, students demonstrated a deeper understanding of the concepts and showed that science is about thinking critically, not just guessing. Great job, scientists! 🔬👏

🔬 Science in action at CCJHS!

Students in Mrs. Batchelor and Mrs. Hennig's 6th grade science classes put their investigative skills to work as they explored what happens when black ink on paper gets wet. Students made predictions, collected evidence, and used their observations to support their reasoning. It was exciting to see our young scientists thinking critically, asking questions, and learning through hands-on discovery!
