🔬 Hands-on Science in Action! 🌧️⛰️

Mrs. Hirschmann’s class took on the ultimate geological challenge today! Our mini-scientists rolled up their sleeves to investigate the powers of weathering and erosion.

Through hands-on experiments, students observed how natural forces like water, wind, and ice break down rocks over time and reshape the earth. And what's a little fun if the principal doesn't hop in on it? 🧪🙌 Thank you for joining our investigation and testing out the forces of nature with us!

Ask your student tonight what happened during their investigation—you might be surprised by how much power a little water and wind can have!

💚 Going Green for Kindness & Connection! 💚

If you noticed our Bulldawgs wearing green today, here’s why! Today is our Go Green day for Start With Hello Week—a special initiative created by Sandy Hook Promise to teach students the power of simple acts of kindness, inclusion, and connection.

Going green represents growth, inclusion, and a welcoming community. By encouraging our students to say a simple "hello," include someone who might feel lonely, or make a new friend, we are building a safer, kinder, and more connected campus for everyone.

A small gesture like a wave, a smile, or a "hello" can make a world of difference in someone's day!

Our students and staff had an absolute blast making their mark and celebrating creativity for Dot Day! 🎨✨

A special shoutout goes to Mrs. Day, who might just be the biggest fan of dots on campus! She went all out to celebrate, proving that no one loves polka dots quite as much as she does! 👗🔴✨

Interested in volunteering at Fairview / Miss Jewell Elementary at any point this school year? Join us for our Volunteer Orientation tomorrow, September 23rd at 9:30 AM!

📍 Arrival Info: Please enter through Door 12 on the Veterans side.

📌 IMPORTANT VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:

Annual Orientation: If you plan to volunteer at any time during the school year, you MUST attend 1 volunteer orientation per school year.

Paperwork Duration: Volunteer paperwork is good for 3 years, but attending an annual orientation is still required each year.

Monthly Opportunities: Can’t make it tomorrow? Don't worry! Orientations are held once a month, and there will be plenty of fun volunteer opportunities throughout the year!

We love and appreciate our volunteers! We can't wait to see you tomorrow morning and partner with you to make this school year amazing for our students! 💙🐾✨

🎉 Congratulations, Mrs. Miller! 🎉

Mrs Miller is definitely a difference maker. Even when she’s facing challenges of her own, she has a smile on her face every time I see her. When I have rough days sometimes, I spark up a conversation just so her light can shine on me. She's here early every morning and stays late every afternoon. In her short time with us, she has faced challenges and continues to show up with a positive attitude. We are so grateful to have you on our team.
