🌎🔬 Science in action in Mrs. Smith’s class!

Students became geologists as they investigated how wind and moving ice can change Earth’s surface. Using a stream table, they tested different conditions, made observations, and watched how soil, rocks, and other materials moved and changed.

Hands-on learning + real scientific investigation = curious scientists at work! 🧪🪨💨❄️

💚 Start With Hello Week! 💚

Today, we wore GREEN to show our commitment to building a more empathetic, inclusive, and connected community at Martin Walker Elementary!

Our Student 2 Student (S2S) students helped make sure that no one had to take a photo alone. 📸💚 Everyone had a buddy, because everyone deserves to feel seen, included, and like they belong.

Sometimes, creating a welcoming school starts with something as simple as saying hello, inviting someone to join you, or making sure no one is standing alone.

At MWE, we’re working together to make sure every student feels like they are part of our pack! 🐾💚

This morning, our Martin Walker Elementary community gathered for See You at the Pole, a student-led event focused on prayer, faith, and unity.

Today we're celebrating Mrs. Kelly Rivas! 🎉
Mrs. Rivas is an incredible example of SEL and CKH in action. Whether she's taking on a grade-level switch or a content switch, she does so with grace, flexibility, and a positive attitude. She is often the calm in our storm, bringing steady support and encouragement to those around her.
What truly sets Mrs. Rivas apart is the deep connection she builds with her students. She knows her kids, understands their needs, and works tirelessly to help each one succeed.
