Let’s try this again!

With the city’s move to Stage 4A water restrictions, Copperas Cove ISD will reopen and resume classes on Thurs., Aug. 20th! We can’t wait to see everybody once again in our hallways.

Parents, please send your student to school with bottled water, as we remain under a boil notice and have a limited supply of bottled water within the district.

Unfortunately, the City will not allow us to open while we are under the 4C water conservation. For the health and safety of our children and staff, we will remain closed until the restriction has been lifted and we are permitted to reopen.

UPDATE…. We called to verify and we are unable to open as long as we are under the 4C water conservation.😕 We will be closed tomorrow unless water service is restored before 5:00 AM. I will update Facebook and send updates through the app if anything changes.

Bulldawg families,

Unfortunately we have to share news that no one wanted in regard to opening our campuses. Copperas Cove ISD will remain closed on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. We are working closely with the City as they progress through this issue. We do feel like this relationship affords us the ability to notify you as parents in a timely manner as we navigate through this unknown circumstances.

Please know that everybody in Bulldawg Nation wants to get the doors back open. I can promise you that this setback will be viewed through the lens of time as a great comeback. We will have the year that our students, staff and community deserve. It will make our return even better.

Please continue to think and pray for the crews working around the clock to restore water service to our community. I think it is important to keep those members of our community including those working to restore water in your thoughts and prayers. I know they are stressed, working long hours and very much want to help return normalcy to our community.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding necessary repair times on the water main break in our community which caused a Stage 4C restriction across Copperas Cove, and out of compassion to parents who need to make plans for childcare and work, Copperas Cove ISD will be closed and classes canceled on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 out of an abundance of caution.
