We are praying for Ms. Cameron’s loved ones and the WLE family after this loss 💙

Monday was everything we had hoped it would be.

We kicked off the year with incredible energy and motivating messages at convocation. Then, we opened our doors and welcomed home our school community. Standing beside the amazing people of WLE, we left with hearts that were completely full.

The next day, our hearts were broken.

We learned of the passing of one of our beloved teachers, Ms. Cameron. A woman whose kindness, compassion, and love changed the lives of the students who needed it most. She embodied what it means to serve children with grace, patience, and a selfless heart.

The contrast between Monday’s joy and the next day’s grief is a powerful reminder that life is precious. Every conversation, every hug, every opportunity to encourage someone matters more than we often realize.

Schools are so much more than buildings. They are people. They are relationships. They are communities that celebrate together, grieve together, and carry one another through both the highest highs and the deepest lows.

As we prepare to welcome our students home, we will also hold close the memory of a teacher who made our school a better place simply by being in it. We will honor her by loving our students well, caring deeply for one another, and never taking a single day together for granted.

This week, CCISD held a graduation ceremony to celebrate the staff who took part in the RISE Program to finish their bachelor's degree and teacher certification. These outstanding Bulldawgs are now working in CCISD as teachers, and we can't wait to see them succeed.

Thank you to EVERYBODY who came out to cut the ribbon and kick off the 12th-annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive in true Bulldawg fashion! We are out at Walmart until 6 p.m. today, tomorrow from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. to help collect school supplies which stay right here in CCISD and go to students who need them!

Our 12th-annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive begins TOMORROW at Walmart Supercenter of Copperas Cove! We hope you'll join us to make sure every Bulldawg is able to start the year off on the right foot.
