Say hello to Kristen Hutcheson, physical education teacher and middle school math teacher at Providence Christian Academy Central Texas.
Kristen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in Psychology and Sociology. She taught all subjects for high school in a local charter school for a couple of years, and then focused on homeschooling her daughter. During that time, she also assisted tutor middle school and high school math.
Kristen cares deeply about people and have a passion for helping them. She states, "It’s about helping the students learn not only the information, but teaching them how to keep trying and continue growing. With math, it’s the lightbulb moments that make it the most rewarding. With physical education, it’s about learning to enjoy movement and perseverance. I’m excited to work at PCA because it’s an opportunity to share God’s love and compassion in action! Education isn’t just about learning curriculum. It’s about learning how to find our strengths and persevere in our weaknesses."

Say hello to Ava Petro, Pre-K teacher at Providence Christian Academy Central Texas.

Ava Petro earned her Associate's Degree and completed several education courses. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

Ava has always had a passion for working with children, and is excited to be our Pre-K teacher this year. She shares the following: "I have always had a passion for working with children, and I am thrilled to begin this new adventure as a Pre-K teacher! I can't wait to help my students learn, grow, and develop a love for learning in a fun and supportive classroom environment."

We are thankful for the joy, passion, and excitement that Ava brings to PCA.

Say hello to Yvonne Miller, 2nd and 3rd grade teacher at Providence Christian Academy Central Texas.

With 17 years of impactful teaching experience, Yvonne Miller has been a vital force in the Copperas Cove Independent School District. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. Certified from early childhood through sixth grade, Yvonne also possesses ESL and Special Education certifications.

We are thankful for the talent, experience, and passion she brings to PCA.

Shoutout to Rock and Roll Ice Cream Parlor - Copperas Cove for coming in the clutch for us. We thought we would need to cancel last night's Ice Cream at the Park meet-and-greet due to the rain. They graciously opened their doors on their day off to give our school a place to host our event.
