Yesterday, our students joined millions across the country in observing the National Day of Prayer.

At PCA, we are thankful for the opportunity to openly pray with our students and encourage them to bring everything before the Lord — their families, their school, their community, and our nation. What a gift it is to point our children to Christ in every part of life.

Say hello to Lisa Kepner, first and second grade teacher at Providence Christian Academy. This is her third year teaching at PCA. 🍎

Lisa earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child Study and Language Development with a focus on Elementary Education, and she holds endorsements in Early Childhood and Special Education. Before joining PCA, she spent three years teaching in a public school setting.

Afterward, Lisa became a full-time mom and felt called to homeschool her sons when they were six and eight years old. During those years, she remained deeply involved in education—tutoring, leading homeschool co-op classes, and teaching middle school science at One Day Academy.

Lisa’s heart for teaching is centered on understanding each student and helping them grow in a way that is meaningful to them. She shares,
“I am passionate about identifying each child’s learning style and working with their unique strengths to support their academic success and personal growth. I am also grateful for the opportunity PCA provides to integrate faith and the Lord’s Word into every aspect of learning.”

Lisa has been married to her husband, Ed, for 33 years. Together they have two sons, both married, and have been blessed with wonderful daughters-in-law. They are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first grandchild this October. 🤍

We are grateful for the care, experience, and heart she brings to PCA each day. ✨
