Pray 180 for 180

If everyone on the planet called out to God in prayer at the same time, it would not be confusing to Him. He would hear the cry of every single heart like they were the only one.

Jesus ... He is personal to us.

AMERICA: A NATION IN CRISIS

The pillars of American culture are all under attack … Family, Church, Education, Business, Government, Media, and Arts/Entertainment. The state of our nation is one of unrest. Serious people are asking, “Will freedom be lost on our watch? If things are this bad today, what will the future be like for the nation, my children and grandchildren?”

WHAT DOES GOD SAY TO A NATION IN CRISIS?

There are 31,103 verses in the Holy Bible. But only ONE verse in all of Scripture tells a nation “how” they can be healed! That is 2 Chronicles 7:14. We should note it is God speaking. These are HIS terms...and... they are non-negotiable.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Recognition
Know that because you are a child of God you are part of the solution! As we look to God, He effects His sovereign purposes in concert with our prayers.

Humility
We must understand the severity of our nation’s crisis was brought about by our willful sin. As God’s people, we must abandon our arrogance and pride and mourn the sins of America, confessing them as our own.

Seek God’s Face
We do not have to persuade a reluctant God to revive us in this generation. The Blood of Jesus still cleanses from ALL sin. God’s heart is full of mercy. Believe in God’s forgiveness and receive His pardon and peace.

Do A 180
We must model to the world turning from our wicked ways. Ask God to restore His blessing and believe with all your heart that He will hear your prayer to forgive our sin and heal our land.

OUR RESPONSE TO AMERICA’S CRISIS:
WE WILL MEET GOD ON HIS TERMS. WE WILL PRAY, FIRST!

Be light for Jesus in this world.

May we build godly cities that give Jesus joy in us rather than sorrow.

Love conquers all. Jesus loves us enough to conquer our sins through his death and resurrection on the cross.

Our actions speak louder than our words.

We will find Him when we seek Him with all of our heart.

The Lord is our strength!

As you have probably heard by now, North Texas was hit by several devastating tornados Saturday evening. Being residents of DFW, this area is near and dear to us and we ask for your prayers as our community begins to clean up and rebuild.

We have already heard several amazing testimonies of friends who survived with nothing but the room they sheltered in left standing. God is in control and great things will come out of the rubble.

If you know anyone affected that is in need of help, supplies or shelter the Red Cross has several shelters set up around the affected areas. They are also taking item and financial donations.

The City of Rowlett is asking for donations to be taken to First United Methodist Church of Rowlett and First Baptist Church of Rowlett.

To my knowledge, Garland has currently stopped taking donations thanks to the great outpouring of support from our community.
