Step right up! The big top is officially open, and National School Lunch Week has begun! Taking center stage today is the daring Fire Breather Flamin’ Crunch Pizza, bringing the heat to the cafeteria ring! Not feeling quite so adventurous? That's okay, our fearless Ringmaster’s Cheese Pizza was ready to command the show.

The crowd has arrived, the performers are ready, and the Cafeteria Circus is officially underway! Tomorrow, we head to the midway for a BIG Top performance!

Nutrition News: Our whole grain cheese pizza was topped with crunchy whole grain, low-fat Flamin’ Hot Cheetos that meet USDA Smart Snacks guidelines and are free from artificial colors and flavorings!

Next week, our cafeterias will transform into the Cafeteria Circus as we celebrate National School Lunch Week: Where Nutrition Takes Center Stage!

Although there will be no school on Monday, behind the scenes the tents will be raised, the midway will be prepared, and the performers will be getting ready for an unforgettable week! When the doors open Tuesday, prepare for Fire Breather Flamin’ Crunch Pizza and Elote Corn on the Cob!

Meatless Monday Challenge:

We served up a delicious, kid-friendly meals today: roasted vegetable quesadillas, MorningStar Farms® veggie nuggets, bean & cheese burritos and cheese nachos!
A few fun ways to enjoy a meatless meal while getting some tasty veggies and plant-based protein on the plate. We love seeing our students discover that nutritious food can be tasty, too!

🌱 Plant-Based Sampling at Coppell High School!

Chef A and our Registered Dietitian, Haley, teamed up with the CHS Eco Club for a fun plant-based sampling event, giving students the opportunity to try new flavors and share their feedback.

Students sampled Curried Samosas made with Deeply Rooted products and Otis Spunkmeyer puff pastry dough, along with Soupa El Pastor and a student-submitted Coconut Bacon recipe.

Chef A was out and about at Mockingbird Elementary today... and the kitchen was BUSY! We kicked things off with a Breakfast Egg Roll taste test, some homemade Sweet & Spicy Pickles and of course, Spaghetti & Meatballs.

NEW MENU ITEM ALERT!🍓🫐🥭🍌🍫 The Yogurt Açaí Bowl made its debut at CHS-9 and Middle Schools across the district! Students loaded up with strawberries, blueberries, mango, bananas, granola and topped them off with our homemade SunButter & Chocolate Sauce.
