Coppell Solar Racing Team Coppell Solar Racing Team For each division, a set of tasks and lessons are assigned along with a car to fit the experience level of the respective division.

The Coppell Solar Racing Team is a student organization that is based on the foundation of learning basic skills in each area of the car, along with working towards certification in either, SolidWorks or LabView, or both. The skill sets and experience levels among our members range from; no experience with engineering or cars whatsoever, to having minimal, but at least some exposure and a vague un

derstanding, to intermediate knowledge and experience, to advanced. Because of this, we established a ranking system beginning with Rookie membership, then advancing to Intern membership, to Intern Trainers and Officers. Currently we are working on 3 cars, each being run by groups of members separated by levels; Electrathon (Beginner), Outlaw I (Intermediate), and Outlaw III (Advanced). Not only does this team teach students about engineering and using renewable energy in transportation, but it also facilitates interpersonal and intrapersonal skills that can be applied throughout life. Our team is our family and we look out for each other and help each other grow and learn from our mistakes in a fun, safe, enriching, and educational environment. The projects we take, all the work we do, and the bonds we make would not be possible without our sponsors. Lots of strategy and excitement at TMS today as the team starts the final day of racing!

Day 3 Results weren’t officially posted on the website. Based on the “Live Official Results, ”the team is currently in 2nd place with a total 201 cumulative laps.

After some sprocket adjustments and fully charging battery packs, the team is trying to hold their 2nd place position!

Coppell Solar drove a total of 64 laps. Add 4 extra laps for their oral presentation, for a total of 68 laps, which puts the team in 2nd place!!
