If you can help with the cloning piece, maybe contact someone in the scientific community, but as for the workday labor... there will be donuts and gratitude, kids in Grade 5 and up can come along, grandparents are welcome, and everyone's hours count toward service hours!

Just because middle school students can sit inside all day on a Chromebook, doesn't mean they should! Research confirms what we in Waldorf education have always known — nature is essential for adolescent well-being.

At Spring Garden, junior high students still enjoy outdoor recess three times daily, plus classes outside like gardening and gym, camping and field trips, festivals and more. Nature reduces adolescent stress and students deserve time outside at all ages.

A recent Parents article is talking about what Rudolf Steiner called it the 9 Year Change! Waldorf curriculum is very intentionally designed to meet this developmental milestone. Our third grade students learn to grow food, build shelter, make thread/clothes, and give back to their schools because it helps them feel connected to their community and the wider world.
