Classes 4, 5 & 6 are heading to Camp Y-Noah for an overnight adventure soon, and these photos offer a glimpse of all the fun that awaits!

Outdoor education experiences like these allow​ students to engage with the world in a way that books and classrooms cannot replicate. They weave so much into learning, including social skill development, relationship building, natural world appreciation, and hands-on engagement.

Our middle school students engage in quite a bit of service work for our school community and the wider community, but why?

Adolescents face a range of complex challenges, from forming an identity and finding where they fit into society to navigating their futures and career paths. Service ​work is strongly associated with developing skills and mindsets that help young people thrive​.

Research from ​the University of Texas, The Journal of Experiential Education, and Gallup​ among others finds that participating in giving back to the community builds leadership skills, a sense of purpose, expanded perspectives, and even boosted academics and wellbeing.
