The Golden Z Club at Southwestern Oregon Community College is affiliated with the Zonta Club of the Coos Bay Area. We are a service & issue advocacy club.
Golden Z Club at Southwestern Oregon Community College is the oldest club on campus. Affiliated with Zonta International, the club plans, organizes and participates in unique activities that give members hands-on experiences in improving the lives of others at both a local and international level. Activities: Self Defense Workshop, 16 Days of Activism, Walk-A-Mile in Her Shoes, Human Trafficking
Workshop, community service such as organizing campus student pantry and clothing resources, ringing bells for the Salvation Army and much more. We invite you to join this growing global movement of students working for gender equality and an end to violence against women and girls worldwide. Meetings: Every other Friday at noon in Empire Hall (2nd floor, Lakeview).
2017-2018 Meeting Dates: November 10, November 17, December 1, January 12, January 26, February 9, February 23, March 9, April 13, and April 27.
