WARRIOR BASH 2026: THAT’S A WRAP! 🎉

We ate. We played. We bid. We climbed. We laughed. And thanks to YOU, we also raised money to put right back into our Warriors! 🙌

From electives and field trips to scholarships, your support is going to make some pretty cool things happen around here.

So from the bottom of our hearts — THANK YOU. ❤️ We’re incredibly grateful for every person who showed up, donated, prayed, bid, bought a bracelet, played a game, grabbed some food, or helped make tonight happen.

Grab a $15 bracelet and come prepared to have some fun!

We’ve got a rock wall (which our high school PE classes have been VERY happy to “test” for us 😉), an inflatable, games, auctions, prizes, food, and plenty of opportunities to show off your competitive spirit.

And the best part? Your $15 isn’t just buying you a fun evening. The proceeds go straight back into our Warriors — helping fluff up classrooms, fund electives, create new learning spaces, and support our scholarship program. ❤️💙

Sometimes words just aren’t enough to describe how excited we are to have school back in session.

Fortunately, this smile said pretty much everything we needed to say.❤️

We’ve got ONE more day left in our first week back, and somehow we’re already finding our groove. The lockers are being conquered, the routines are coming back, and we’re only mildly concerned about how quickly this week disappeared. 😉

And because Warriors take care of Warriors…

A HUGE shout out to Sharkbites and Bananas Kiddo Kingdom for blessing four of our staff members with dinner and play passes this week! ❤️💙

A few very official student raffle representatives drew names, delivered the good news, and sent four staff members home with gift certificates—because sometimes the best gift you can give a teacher is “You don’t have to cook tonight.” 🙌

Thank you for loving on our staff and giving them a chance to skip the kitchen, enjoy some family time, and just breathe a little after a busy first week.

We truly have the best Riverview community!

🎨🪰 What do you get when you mix paint, bugs, and fly swatters?

PRESCHOOL. Obviously. 😂

The letter "I" bugs had invaded the whiteboard, and our preschool Warriors were on the case! Armed with fly swatters and a little paint, they hunted those “yucky” "I" bugs down—even the sneaky ones trying to blend in with all the other letter bugs—and SPLAT! 💥

There were paint splatters. There were giggles. There was some serious bug-hunting business happening.

And somewhere in the middle of all that swatting and splatting, our preschoolers were learning their letters without even realizing they were doing school 😉.

We are already big fans of Mrs. George’s fun and creative way of teaching, and judging by the smiles in this classroom, her little Warriors are too!

🎉 WELCOME BACK, WARRIORS! 🎉

And just like that… WE’RE BACK! 🙌

The first day brought plenty of smiles, excited faces, a whole lot of school supplies flying around, and a few “Wait…where am I supposed to go?” moments 😉

Our preschoolers were learning how this whole school thing works, middle schoolers were getting the official locker-rule download, and our high schoolers were already hitting the books like summer break never happened. 📚

With lots of new faces, lots of familiar ones, and everyone shaking the cobwebs off their back-to-school brains, we’re thankful for a little patience and a whole lot of grace as we all get back into the groove together.

And we hope you had as much fun with our first-day signs as we did! 📸

Ask her students what makes Mrs. Vrooman so great and they don’t even hesitate: “She’s kind and she’s always willing to give a second chance.”

And if the fruits of the Spirit are part of the fifth-grade job description, Mrs. Vrooman isn't just checking the box—she helping plant the orchard. 🍎🍇🍒🍐

She’s kind. She’s patient. She gives second chances. And now she’s moving up to fifth grade with her students, who are pretty sure they hit the teacher jackpot.

Welcome back, Mrs. Vrooman! Fifth grade is ready for you—and apparently, they’ve already claimed you. ❤️💙

And just like that… our back-to-school staff week is in the books! 💪

We wrapped up the week with an encouraging message from Matthew 14:22–33, taking a look at the disciples who stayed in the boat while Peter stepped out onto the water. A good reminder that sometimes faith looks like stepping out… and sometimes it looks like staying put and trusting God right where He has you. 🙌

We also checked off those last-minute details, put the finishing touches on classrooms, and apparently decided we hadn’t packed enough into the week—so we threw in a full-blown Warrior Bash date change for good measure. 😂

With Oregon threatening to turn Saturday into a very wet affair, we’re moving the Warrior Bash to NEXT SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th, from 4–7 PM! Because soggy tents, slippery rock walls, and a drenched auctioneer just didn’t feel like the family-friendly evening we had in mind. ☔️

And because our Warrior Community knows how to spoil our staff, we were blessed with some absolutely gorgeous baskets and goodies from a few of our local farm stands to raffle off during our meeting!

She arrived a little like Mary Poppins—practically perfect and just in time. ☂️

When we found ourselves with a midyear teaching position to fill, Mrs. Harlukowicz swooped in, grabbed the expo marker, and hit the ground running. These days, her students mostly know her as “Mrs. H,” and they’ve quickly learned that her classroom comes with plenty of fun, excitement, and probably a few more learning adventures than they bargained for. 😉

We’re pretty sure she has a secret stash of extra energy somewhere, because she doesn't know how to slow down!

We’re so glad Mrs. H found her way to Riverview! Help us give her a big welcome back! ❤️💙

🌧️ IT'S GOING TO BE A RAIN CHECK (literally)🌧️

We considered Singing in the Rain.
Then we pictured soggy tents.
A slippery rock climbing wall.
An auctioneer getting absolutely drenched.
And 200+ people trying to eat dinner while standing in a puddle.
So… we’re going to go ahead and Change the Date ✅

This Saturday’s forecast is calling for enough rain to make Noah nervous, so our Warrior Bash is officially moving to SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th!

🗓️ Pull out those pens. Circle it. Underline it. Put 7 reminders in your phone. Whatever it takes.

Same mission of pouring the proceeds right back into our students...significantly less water falling from the sky.
