Day 1: Drawing is complete! Our students did observational drawings, drawing challenges, pictionary, and got to enjoy some sunshine while outside doing chalk drawings.

Is your child about to go into Kindergarten or Pre-School? Do you want to give them an extra boost to their early childhood learning? Ready, Set, School is a Pre-School summer camp where we learn about letters, numbers, colors, and more while building important social and emotional skills. This camp is a half-day morning camp from 9 am to 12 pm. During this time, your preschooler will make crafts, do science experiments, play games, use their senses, and learn! We’ll be focusing on milestones every child should meet before entering kindergarten, including counting to 10, recognizing the letters of the Alphabet, spelling their name, and more. Your children will also be introduced to a class setting in a gentle way with tons of support. They will also get outside play time, build social-emotional skills, and have fun!

July 22nd – 26th, 2024
Ages: 7-13

Kids often want to earn their own money, but don’t have any knowledge of how to get started. In this camp, we will teach students how to become kid entrepreneurs. They will learn how to turn a business from an idea to paying customers. They’ll also learn how to budget, save, and build other financial skills. During the week, local business advisors will come to speak to them as well as local business owners. They’ll also get outside, play games, and build social-emotional skills. At the end of the week, we will host a business fair for the local public to support some extra small business owners.

Full-Day camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm. Half-Day Mornings run from 9 am to 12 pm. Half-Day Afternoons run from 12 pm to 3 pm. In the morning, students will focus mainly on building their business. They will start with the basics, come up with ideas, create a business plan, design marketing strategies, create a product, and launch their business. In the afternoon, they will focus on building financial literacy. Students in both the morning and afternoon will receive a snack and outdoor time. Full-Day students will also have time to eat lunch which parents are welcome to pack or pay a small fee for.

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. In this camp, students will learn about different sciences, study technology made by different inventors, and engineer their own inventions. Kids will participate in safe and fun experiments. They will learn about the scientific method and how to design their own experiments. We may even have a local speaker come who used to work for NASA! They will complete challenges, get outside, play games, build social-emotional learning, and more.

Full-Day camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm. Half-Day Mornings run from 9 am to 12 pm. Half-Day Afternoons run from 12 pm to 3 pm. In the mornings, students will be focused on the five main sciences: biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and geology. They will complete experiments, learn about different topics of each science, and study how each science works together with the others. In the afternoons, we will be focused on famous inventors while also designing and building our own inventions. Students will work in teams to tackle STEM challenges, build practical engineering skills, and come home with their very own inventions. Students in both the morning and afternoon will receive a snack and outdoor time. Full-Day students will also have time to eat lunch which parents are welcome to pack or pay a small fee for.

Art is a way for us to experiment with different mediums while expressing who we are. This camp will explore many types of art from the traditional to the non-traditional. Students will get the chance to work with their hands, get messy, express themselves, make mistakes, and turn those mistakes into masterpieces. They’ll work with paint, clay, photography, and fibers, and even make their own paintbrushes from natural material. They’ll also talk to local artists who will help them learn even more! They will also get outside, play games, and build social-emotional skills.

Full-Day camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm. Half-Day Mornings run from 9 am to 12 pm. Half-Day Afternoons run from 12 pm to 3 pm. In the mornings, students will learn about what art is, build cultures, create Earth art, and practice photography. In the afternoons, they will have the chance to learn drawing, painting, fiber arts, and art made from recycled materials. Students in both the morning and afternoon will receive a snack and outdoor time. Full-Day students will also have time to eat lunch which parents are welcome to pack or pay a small fee for.

The great outdoors is filled with all kinds of life, just waiting to be explored. In this camp, students will learn about the outdoor world, how to classify what they find, how to look into the details, and how to use all their senses to take in the world around them. They will explore biomes and ecosystems, understand how animals fit into their environments, and learn how to take care of the world around them. Local experts will come to talk to them about nature as well. They will also learn the scientific process, do outdoor crafts, play games, and more.

Full-Day camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm. Half-Day Mornings run from 9 am to 12 pm. Half-Day Afternoons run from 12 pm to 3 pm. In the mornings, kids will be hiking and exploring the outdoors. They will collect and examine samples, learn to identify different plants and animals, and connect how these things work together to create an ecosystem. In the afternoons, kids will be focused on animals and their biomes. They will construct different habitats, learn how animals adapt, and hear from experts on local biomes. Students in both the morning and afternoon will receive a snack and outdoor time. Full-Day students will also have time to eat lunch which parents are welcome to pack or pay a small fee for.
