At Robotyze, we're happy to see these kids succeed in the sport of archery!

We'll continue to sponsor the Clover Leaf Archery Club Competition Team with targets, instruction, and technology solutions to help these young archers grow in their competitive capability and learn the physics of archery!

Recently, we've been having some fun modeling in Blender.

While following along with a tutorial on making donuts, one of our students decided to make some fruit to keep things healthy!

Our next steps will be to 3D print a few of these items as well 🤖

For our most recent student-instructor collaborative experiment, we decided to see if we could validate einstein's theory of relativity through the method used in 1919 during a solar eclipse: https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/testing-general-relativity

We've spent the past 2 months researching optics, running tests, finding the correct equipment, checking theory, and finished last night off with some orientation tests under the clear night sky.

However, today we've got quite a bit of cloud cover! Stay tuned to hopefully see some great footage this afternoon!

Laser engraving is a very cool capability that allows one to etch precise patterns into the surface of a material!

How difficult is it to laser engrave a material? It's not as tough as you might think.

The first step is quite a bit of fun: Figure out what we want to engrave and turn it into an image.

Next, we upload it into a conversion software which will turn that image into instructions for the laser to follow. This is a little trickier because we must be conscious of the material we're engraving on, the time and energy we want the machine to spend on the process, and ensure that the machine might not bump into any part of the object it's working on.

Finally, we reach the best part: we kick off the engraving process and watch our creation come to life! (Behind the special safety glasses needed to protect our eyes)

Do you or your child want to learn about laser engraving and cutting?

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

To celebrate, we worked with some students to create the following game: https://robotyze.org/games/stPatricksDayGame/index.html

Roll the dice as fast as you can to build your rainbow. Though watch out! If someone rolls a "double" your rainbow might just go back up to the clouds.

If you made the game, click Start Game when you're ready to begin. If not, wait until the game creator has started the game.

Have you ever heard of a motor starter? It might look complicated, but that's not the case! It's somewhat like a fancy relay -which works like an electric lightswitch.

Rather than using your finger to flip the switch and turn it on, you send electricity into it. The electricity tells the switch to "flip".

Once it's on, a motor starter can safely start larger motors -like the one being used here for an espresso machine experiment.

Many things like this are used on a daily basis to keep the world running!

Last night our founder had the opportunity to attend a science night and educate kids about aircraft and how they fly!

At Robotyze, our only goal is to educate the world. The way we do it is through the educational content and technology that we create.

We spent last weekend building simple user interfaces and rewiring/reverse engineering robots!

Projects are always a fun way for kids invest in their learning. If they give themselves a goal, and if the expectations and challenges are correctly identified/managed, the outcomes can be amazing!

These Raspberry Pi computers are a great way to get children into programming! The computer itself is around $35 and about the size of a credit card. Then, throw a touchscreen and case on it, and you've got a pretty neat little tablet.

We've used these to explore some of the many ways to engage children in programming.

We also have some cool software packages in development to help kids all over easily build fun games and projects on these devices!
