At Compass Child Care we have a passion for fun, engaging and immersive programming. We believe that learning is an adventure and everyone needs direction in their journey; at Compass, we want to be that guidance. Every child in our care, even our youngest little explorers, receive age appropriate curriculum. In our infant and toddler rooms our curriculum starts off the strong

foundation that all other knowledge is built upon. Our preschool program is on the cutting edge of early childhood education. Each child will get the opportunity to be immersed in music & movement, art & fine motor, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), dramatic/ imaginative play, sensory and social skills. We have gone to great lengths to find teachers that love children and have a passion to teach their favorite subject. Imagine that, a child gets to change rooms and atmospheres that are wrapped in subject and theme, getting activities and lessons from teachers that are enthusiastically planning curriculum they love. We don’t think it gets any better than that but if it does we are eager to grow with the children in our care! We want to give children guidance and direction in their life-long adventures in learning.

🧚🏽🍄 WEEKLY RECAP 👑🏰 - Fairy Tales
Last week, we stepped into some of our favorite classic Fairy Tales! We followed Little Red Riding Hood, explored with Goldilocks & The Three Bears, climbed along with Jack & The Beanstalk, and wrapped up with The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Through these familiar stories, students practiced sequencing, making predictions, recognizing patterns, and using their imaginations. Fairy Tales Learning Objectives:

✨ Retell stories in the correct order
✨ Guess what might happen next
✨ Identify characters and settings
✨ Understand cause and effect
✨ Build language and storytelling skills
✨ Use creativity through pretend play

Haley is constantly on the move and always willing to jump in wherever help is needed@ Whether she is coordinating deliveries, helping centers, organizing projects, or supporting the team behind the scenes, Haley brings energy and positivity into everything she does. She works hard, stays organized, and somehow always manages to do it all with a smile on her face!

One thing everyone knows about Haley is how thoughtful she is. She has such a talent for making people feel special and appreciated, whether through gifts, encouragement, or simply showing up when someone needs help. Haley’s kindness, creativity, and willingness to help others make her such an important part of Compass!

We are so grateful for Haley and all the positivity, thoughtfulness, and support she brings to Compass every day!

🍎✏️ CURRICULUM NIGHT 📚🎒
Last night’s Curriculum Night was all about planning for September’s theme: All About Me! Our Curriculum Coaches, Brenda, Ashley, and Jen, shared creative ways to help children learn more about themselves, their families, friendships, and the world around them. Weekly themes include Back to School & Apple Fun, My Family & Pets, Being a Good Friend, and My 5 Senses—all designed to support a strong start to the school year.

September is such a fun reset in our classrooms, with lots of opportunities for children to get to know their classmates, learn more about themselves, and settle into their school routines. We’re looking forward to all that September has in store!

⚽️⚾️ WEEKLY RECAP 🤿🏄🏽‍♂️ - Summer Sports
This week, we stayed active while learning all about summer sports and safety! We started with Swimming & Water Safety, practicing how to stay safe near pools and lakes. Next, we focused on Bike Safety—learning the importance of helmets and watching for signs. Midweek brought a game of T-ball, where students worked on teamwork and taking turns. We wrapped up with Soccer, building coordination and learning to play as a team. Our seasonal theme this Friday was watermelon! Summer Sports Learning Objectives:

🔹 Role-play activities related to safety and health
🔹 Extend dramatic play to outdoor sports
🔹 Appreciation for seasonal activities
🔹 Value of personal safety & basic safety rules
🔹 Learn the feelings of others through team sports
🔹 Learn the role of coaches as community helpers

🌈🌧️ WEEKLY RECAP ☀️🌪️ - Weather
This week, we let our imaginations soar as we explored the fascinating world of weather! The kids took their art supplies outdoors, where they watched the sky and painted their interpretations of what they saw. It was a perfect mix of creativity and learning in the great outdoors. Here’s what we focused on during our weather adventures:

☁️ Solve complex problems based on prior knowledge
☁️ Use vocabulary related to weather
☁️ Being exposed to onomatopoeia words
☁️ Measure temperature; count to 20
☁️ Understand the role of the weather in personal health

Lisa is incredibly talented and someone who brings both creativity and professionalism into everything she does! She has an amazing eye for design and decorating, and the ideas and systems she has helped create have made such a positive impact across Compass. Even in the limited time she has available, the value she brings to the team is unmatched!

Lisa is also thoughtful, kind, and someone who truly cares about the people around her. She works hard supporting her family while continuing to pursue her own dreams and goals, and the dedication she brings into every area of her life is inspiring. Her ability to balance professionalism with warmth makes her such a valued part of the Compass team.
