NREC teaches elementary school students about agriculture, how their food is grown and nutrition.
The Natural Resource Education is located on the campus of Central Arizona College. NREC presents five programs: Corn Festival- October, From Alfalfa to Ice Cream- November and December, Water Out West- March and as requested, The Arizona Five C's- February, and Veggie Ventures- April

Heartland Ranch-Coolidge 4th graders made this cloudy, windy day so much fun. Thank you for taking part in the NREC Corn Festival. Students learned about the history of corn, the many products made from corn, made corn "plastic" and Johnny Cakes and found lady bugs in the corn field! π½π½

Big shout out to Palo Verde Elementary in Casa Grande for inviting NREC to visit their 1st graders with our "From Alfalfa to Ice Cream" program! What a great group of students and teachers!

NREC is "moo"ving its way around Pinal County. Spent Tuesday visiting 1st graders at Stanfield Elementary and Mary C. O'Brien. A big "Thank You" to these schools for inviting us to share our dairy program with your students. So much fun and learning!! π

NREC had a "Moo"valous time visiting the 1st graders at Heartland Ranch in Coolidge last week. These first graders now know how well dairy cows are cared for and what nutrition milk and dairy products provide for our bodies. Thanks for having us Heartland Ranch! Can't wait for your 4th graders' field trip to our Corn Festival Program.π½π½
