It was another great day in “The Valley”!
Today, 65 staff and students participated in the 2024! In a matter of hours we were able to pick up 13 red bags and 12 green bags full of trash from our school grounds and the Ball Creek Nature Area (for the record, most all of that was from the nature area, because Mr. Tim and Jimmy don’t play about our campus).
Did you know that our campus is part of the Mississippi River watershed?
And did you know that litter that finds its way onto the grounds, makes its way into waterways like Ball Creek?
And that means eventually that chip wrapper, or empty water bottle, or burger wrapper, that gets dropped on the ground or tossed out of a car window makes its way into the Mississippi River, and ultimately the Gulf of Mexico.
