Spirit Day #6 - Tech Pride Day!! 💜💛

And thus ends this season’s spirit days! As band camp comes to an end, we like to rep that awesome Tech pride with our purple and gold!

Tomorrow is our first performance of the season, where we welcome the Class of 2030 at convocation!! Today, however, we’ve memorized pregame, learned to sing the Tech Hymn, and had a fun lip sync battle!! In honor of the World Cup, we played a game of soccer that…went wrong‼️⚽️

Spirit Day #5 - Country Day!! 🤠🐮

“Yeehaw to the meemaws” - Dr. Miller

It was a very fun country day today with everyone dressing up as cowboys / cowgirls!! We had a nice shorter day today as we worked more on memorizing pregame and adding music to movement 1 drill!! We also got another visit from this year’s marching band mascot: Terry the Turkey! 🦃

Spirit Day #4 - Beach Day!! 🏖️🌊

If only we weren’t set in the mountains because trombones yesterday were ready for the beach!

We had a fun day yesterday playing beach volleyball, rocking some epic pool floaties, and learning drill for movement 1! We also ended the evening with a gorgeous sunset!!

Spirit Day #3 - Color Day!! ❤️🕷️

Trombones went all out with red for today’s spirit day!! We also got a visit from some friendly, neighborhood superheroes!

Today was a shorter rehearsal, but we still put in a lot of hard work! We learned all of the drill for pregame, rehearsed more stand tunes, and worked on cleaning up movement 1!

Spirit Day #2: Dress like Dr. Miller!! 🎶

Today was another successful day of band camp!! We started learning movement 1 of our halftime show, worked on memorizing music for pregame, had our first Tour de Tech of the season, and enjoyed a fun section lunch!

Spirit Day #1 - Raving over the GEMB 🪩✨

Band camp is off to an excellent start! Today we learned tons of different marching fundamentals and pregame music, all while dressed for a rave!!

This is Elijah Liner! He is a junior Music Education major, originally from Tullahoma, TN. He loves all things superheroes, playing DnD, and helping others!
