Today, our AMS family was proud to support Dolly and celebrate the heart of giving, kindness, and helping others. We loved coming together to honor the incredible example set by Dolly Parton and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of children.

🚢⚓ ALL ABOARD, ALGOOD!

Homecoming 2026 is about to SET SAIL! ⚓🚢

Get ready to embark on a Voyage to Victory as we celebrate Homecoming Week beginning September 14! 🌊🏆

Each day, students and staff will have the chance to join the journey with exciting voyage-inspired dress-up days all week long. We encourage everyone to participate and have fun while also being respectful and culturally sensitive with all dress-up choices. 🗺️✨

But this voyage is about more than just school spirit! ❤️ During the week, we’ll also be collecting donations for our Algood Middle School Food Pantry to help support students in our school who may need a little extra in their treasure chest. Every donation can make a difference!

👑 Thursday, September 17: Join us for our Homecoming Ceremony during halftime as we recognize our Homecoming Attendants from each grade level!

🏛️✨ Friday: Our journey will conclude with the Grecian Gala Homecoming Dance for all 7th and 8th graders!Tickets will go on sale Monday of Homecoming Week, and the evening’s color palette is white and gold. 🤍💛

So grab your crew, chart your course, and get ready to sail into an unforgettable week! 🧭🌊

Mack Jones represented Putnam County 4-H today at the Tennessee State Fair in the Central Region 4-H Forestry Judging Contest. He was 5th Individual in the Junior High Division! He has worked hard studying types of trees, insects, and diseases and learning how to measure trees and pace in the AMS garden class and the 4-H forestry program. Congratulations, Mack!

Mrs. Gore's 5th-grade social studies class enjoyed a day of learning about Tennessee geography. Tennessee State Museum traveling tote provided a hands-on activity to learn all about TN Geography. We even had our Vice Principals helping.
