Five outstanding Upper Cumberland athletes delivered BIG-TIME performances this week. Now it’s up to the fans to decide who will be named the State Farm Carey Bass Tri-Star Sports Network Upper Cumberland Male Athlete of the Week!
🏈 COLE SIMS — WHITE COUNTY FOOTBALL
Sims exploded for 324 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on just 13 carries, helping lead the Warriors to a 53-21 victory over York Institute.
🏈 ADRIAN PRATER — DEKALB COUNTY FOOTBALL
Pressure? No problem. Prater drilled a 50-yard field goal with just 22 seconds remaining to lift the Tigers to a dramatic 23-21 victory over White House and a 2-0 start to the season.
🏈 DONALD MUSALL — MONTEREY FOOTBALL
Musall powered the Wildcats with 170 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 11 carries as Monterey rolled to a 37-8 victory over Cumberland County.
🏃 LEVI DETWILER — COOKEVILLE CROSS COUNTRY
One of Tennessee’s elite runners, Detwiler — currently ranked No. 3 in Tennessee — turned in a blistering 15:44 three-mile performance at the Saturday Night Fever meet in Hendersonville.
⛳ HAMPTON PARKER — MACON COUNTY GOLF
Parker went LOW at Macon County Golf Course, firing an incredible 6-under-par 64 in Macon County’s match against Cookeville and Wilson Central.
