Words from Spirit, today:
The human mind craves variety in any form. It doesn’t have to be happy or sad, the mind doesn’t care just as long as it’s different than what it’s been experiencing. This is our deepest motivation. The seeking of variety. So deeply that the rich can still be mentally ill or have emotional stress or issues. People who have their every basic need met can still struggle. This is why comparing your problems to others is meaningless. We can all have problems. At any level of life. No matter where we are at or how successful or unsuccessful we are. If you were in some sort of human rat cage. With all the worlds food and all the worlds video games and everything you could ever want - you would STILL crave variety. And want to leave this utopia. I’m sure you have also witnessed what I’ve seen and noticed that some people even CREATE problems for themselves. Almost out of pure boredom! Or this “seeking variety”.
Find gratefulness in the variety seeking. Be thankful that your mind wants to show you so many different experiences. Even if many of them suck. It allows us the ability to feel deeper. Things that make us happy hold deeper sacred meaning to us. Variety adds value. To value your life and to foster gratitude - seek out variety in all forms.
Perhaps a giant lesson of life is to learn to accept variety and our craving of it. And other people’s cravings for it. Perhaps there should be no shame in wanting many different hobbies. Or many different spiritual experiences. Or many different friends. Or many different lovers. Or many different jobs or moving homes a lot. Maybe it’s your soul seeking different experiences to absorb. And maybe that’s okay. Take roots and rest when you crave. Adventure and explore when you crave. And don’t worry if people leave your life for a period of time or if you leave theirs. Everything is as it should be.
