Well, my name is Jacki and I am a gun girl. I was raised in the hills of Tennessee with a father who was by all accounts a "gun nut." He passed that love of firearms onto me. I bought my first firearm at the age of 21 -- a Walther P22. From there I began amassing guns, ammo and gear as I began my journey of concealed carry and training. A few years ago, I decided to offer my knowledge to others an
d began teaching NRA and concealed carry classes. I was already a BLS instructor with the American Heart Association so I rolled all that into a side business called Freelance Tactical. A writer by trade and degree, I decided to head back to work after my kids were born and landed myself a writing gig with Guns.com. What started as freelance reviewing turned into a staff reviewer position. Last year I added two more titles to my name, taking on the position as News Curator for the Guns.com Wire as well as reporter on the product/consumer news beat.
